Gardening

About 3 days ago I pulled up what was left of a marigold plant. I laid it out in the sun to dry and today the seeds were ready to harvest.

To harvest the seeds, make sure the flowers are dry and brittle. Then simply pull the heads of the flower off of the steam. And that's it!

I will be saving these seeds for the spring. I also do this with Zinnias, and both are great for keeping the bugs out of the garden. To save the seeds, you can either place in a small jar or envelope and keep them dry.
